Forfar groups

Forfar midwives provide a range of groups and sessions to help you prepare for labour, birth and the postnatal period.

ANTENATAL PREPARATION
These sessions are for women and their birth partners from 34 weeks of pregnancy. They are held at Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre on Thursday evenings from 7-8.30pm.

Week 1
Hello and Welcome.
This session is led by the midwives and topics and discussions include pre-labour, coping with established labour and birth expectations.

Week 2
The Road Safety Officer begins the evening with advice on infant car seats.
A representative from Citizens Advice gives a short talk on child trust funds, child benefit and child tax credits.
The midwife ends this session by offering information on the early days of becoming parents.
