Arbroath YM2B group's first year

Arbroath's group for young mums-to-be has celebrated its first anniversary with a reunion for people who have attended the six week rolling sessions in the town's family centre.
YM2B is organised by midwives from Arbroath Maternity Unit and a local Sure Start health visitor. It is particularly aimed at young people who don't feel comfortable attending standard parent information classes. The relaxed and informal sessions cover everything from relaxation, money matters and hygiene to birth preparation and career planning.
After the reunion, midwifery team leader Chris Field said, "Staff and young women and their partners had a great afternoon getting caught up with all the changes that have taken place in the group members' lives." She added, "We are really looking forward to the next year of YM2B. Anyone under the age of 20 who would like to join would be very welcome. They can contact us on 01242 822537." The next group starts on 18th April at 1pm at the Family Centre.
