Stonehaven woman Heather Malcolm and her partner Michael Adam welcomed baby Joe in the birthing pool at Montrose Maternity Unit - and had the unexpected bonus of a month's free supply from the Nappy Laundry Company.
As this is Real Nappy Week, the company is running information displays in Stonehaven Clinic and Montrose Maternity Unit to encourage the use of modern cloth nappies. Nicole Hepburn, who runs the Stonehaven company, decided to gift a month's laundry and a basket of organic baby products to the first baby born in Montrose during Real Nappy Week.
Nicole has also organised the Stonehaven Baby Fair, in support of CLIC Sergeant, on Friday 25th April from 7-9pm in the Town Hall. Entry is free and, as well as baby and child-focused retailers, exhibitors will include the Grampian Real Nappy Project.
Montrose Maternity Unit is an increasingly popular choice for mothers-to-be in Stonehaven and the surrounding areas who are attracted by the prospect of waterbirth and a calm, family-friendly environment.
