Step 10

We support you before and after the birth of your baby, so your new family gets the best possible start.

We want to know your thoughts, hopes, fears and questions so our parentcraft classes are tailored to your needs as a family. We are happy to meet with parents individually if you prefer. Information about parentcraft classes will be available on this site soon. These take place in:

Montrose and Brechin (includes Edzell)

Arbroath

Forfar

Aquanatal at MontroseWe offer aquanatal classes in Montrose, Arbroath and Forfar which can help you with labour and make you feel good about yourself.

You will have been given a copy of the ‘Ready, Steady, Baby’ book early on in your pregnancy.

See the MIDIRS Informed Choice leaflet number 15 ‘Caring for yourself and feeling well after you have had your baby’.

Midwives are available for the first 28 days of your baby’s life to offer support and care as needed. Contact a midwife for more information.

Most communities have mother and toddler (or bumps and babies) groups which meet regularly and can be a great source of support – see your local community centre or health visitor for details. The National Childbirth Trust has a local support group for new parents based in the Strathmore Area.
