What should you expect from a Baby Friendly health care facility?
Breastfeeding may be best but it isn’t always easy. We adopt the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding which prevents many problems from starting. However, when difficulties are persistent, our specialist staff can provide support and advice on an outpatient basis – wherever you live. Contact a midwife, whatever the time of day or night, for more information.
Each area in Angus has a breastfeeding support group where breastfeeding mums meet up to have a chat and help each other out if necessary. A midwife and health visitor are also on hand. For details, contact a midwife.

You can also contact the National Childbirth Trust’s Breastfeeding Support Line, seven days a week from 8am-10pm, tel 0870 444 8708. The NCT’s local Breastfeeding Counsellor, Helen Taylor, is also available to talk to local mothers and groups.
